Professional Profile:
Kim Michael joined the firm in 2005 and concentrates her practice in Employment Law and Litigation, including matters involving compensation, restrictive covenants (such as non-competition and non-solicitation agreements), trade secrets, severance pay, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, whistleblowing, and defamation. She has extensive experience drafting and negotiating employment agreements and separation/settlement agreements and regularly advises and counsels clients on numerous aspects of employment law. Ms. Michael also handles general commercial, contractual, and insurance disputes.

Ms. Michael represents individual clients in the financial services, media, advertising, publishing, fashion, insurance, apparel, and other industries at "C", senior, mid-, and junior levels. She also has experience representing institutional clients including broker-dealers, a not-for-profit medical research company, and a global broker in the numerous environmental markets together with its subsidiary that facilitates for clients a variety of exchange related transactions (including futures and swaps).

Ms. Michael litigates actions in federal and state courts, as well before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ("FINRA"), the American Arbitration Association, and fair employment practices agencies, and has participated in numerous mediations.
